Alternative Ordering Methods for Windows

What other alternatives do I have when I’m unable to order my photo book from my PC?

You’ve created a photo book with the ifolor Designer for Windows and checked all relevant information for your order, yet you’re not able to complete your order from your PC? This problem is mostly caused by a faulty Internet connection. This, of course, shouldn’t stop you from being able to hold your photo book in your own hands as soon as possible. Choose one of the following alternative ordering methods:

  1. You can transfer your photo book file to another PC by using a data storage medium and then wrap up your order there.
  2. If you’re still having technical difficulties with your order, you can also send us your photo book file on a USB stick.

Here’s how it’s done:

Transferring Your File to Another PC

In order to transfer your completed photo book to another computer, start out by copying the corresponding folder and save it to the second PC by using a data storage medium. If you named your photo book, the file will have the same name. Otherwise, the folder you’re looking for will have your photo book’s date of creation as its title. You can find the folder under:



C:\Users\...Your User Name... \Documents\ifolor\Photobooks

This folder is automatically created during the installation of the ifolor Designer for Windows on your PC. If our photo book software is also installed on the second PC, you can transfer the folder with the photo book file to the same file path under “Photobooks.” Then, on the other computer, open the ifolor Designer and you’ll find your transferred photo book directly from the start menu. Open it and here you can wrap up your order.

Sending Your Order by Post

If the Internet just really isn’t cooperating, you can alternatively send us your photo book file directly by post. To do this, transfer your photo book file to a USB stick. Save the complete folder of your photo book’s data to the data storage medium. Just as with the first alternative described above, you can find the folder with all the necessary files under:



C:\Users\...Your User Name...\Documents\ifolor\Photobooks

To ensure that we implement and complete your order correctly, include a letter with your data storage medium that contains the following information:

  • Name and complete address
  • Email address and telephone number
  • Desired quantity of your photo product

We need your email address so that we can notify you of the receipt of your order. We will contact you by phone should we have questions or there are important notifications about your order.

Note: A possible reason for being unable to complete your order is a previous transfer of your photo book from a Windows PC to a Mac or the other way around. The file systems of the two operating systems are different in their structure and are not compatible with one another. Thus, it’s only possible to transfer your photo book from Windows to Windows or Mac to Mac.
