Wall decor with the help of augmented reality

According to a study conducted in German by the Swiss Augmented Reality Barometer 2021 (Swiss Augmented Reality Barometer 2021, https://ar-barometer.ch/), one in two people in Switzerland have already used an AR function. The use of augmented reality whilst shopping online is not only a fascinating experience, but it makes the process of buying products online for the consumer much easier. Around 21% of people in Switzerland who have used an AR application to virtually display a product whilst shopping online have ended up buying the product.

With the help of augmented reality, you can virtually test your photo canvas or aluminium Dibond in various formats on your wall to help you find the right size. This works via the camera on your smartphone or tablet. By using the camera all you need to do is hold your device facing the wall you would like to hang up your wall decoration on and you will see a preview of it. It will show the preview in real-time, and you can virtually see the wall decoration with a sample motif in the size you have chosen. Too big or too small? Simply select another size and test it again using the AR feature.

To virtually test the different wall decoration sizes, you first need to go to the product page and choose a size. If you open the product page directly from your smartphone or tablet, you can press the "Place in room" button at the bottom and the AR mode will start via your camera. When you open the product page on your PC or laptop, a QR code will appear after you have selected a size for your wall decoration. Scan it with your smartphone or tablet and the AR mode will start via the camera on your device. If you are satisfied with the selected size of your wall decoration, you can end the AR mode and start designing.
