6,000 trees to mark international Earth Day

Our environment is a matter close to our hearts! That’s why we held a very special Happy Hour for international Earth Day: a tree was planted for every order placed to support global reforestation projects.

Together with our customers, we have been able to plant 6,000 trees. And this was done on all continents of the world – with one small exception – Antarctica. For example, we were able to support the projects: Trees for Tigers, Usambara Biodiversity Conservation and Camino Verde. We were therefore able to plant an entire ifolor forest and make a positive contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. We searched for a great partner to do the planting and found an experienced and reliable service provider in Tree Nation.

Tree Nation’s aim is to restore degraded tropical ecosystems, with its main projects focusing on reforestation, wildlife conservation and education. Tree Nation strives to achieve an optimal balance between widespread and effective restoration of forests – measured in terms of conservation of biodiversity, ecological health, and carbon sequestration – combined with improvement of economic and environmental quality of life for local communities.

The planting continues

But that is not all. We were not only able to plant trees on Happy Earth Day. We were also lucky to plant a tree for every 10 kilometres travelled by each employee during Bike to Work and we were also allowed to plant a tree for each participant in a customer survey on the topic of sustainability. We look forward continuing with the planting of beautiful trees until entire forests are created.
