How to Store Photos in the Cloud

Your phone is full of hundreds and thousands of photos and your phone's storage space is nearly full. It’s a good idea to start storing you photos in the cloud. 

Lots of people enjoy taking photos with their phone, but what they don’t realise is that their phone quickly fills up and photos and videos can take up a lot of space. Your phone's memory is very limited, so sooner or later you'll have to find somewhere else to store your photos and videos. The most convenient way is to transfer your photos and videos from your phone to the cloud.

You can easily do this via your smartphone by simply going into your phone’s settings. Go into your phone's settings and you'll find the option “Backup”. By activating this your photos and videos will automatically be transferred to the cloud. 

Storing your photos in the cloud keeps them safe even if your phone breaks. Best of all, your photos and videos can be viewed and edited on other devices. Editing your photos and creating a photo book is even easier to do on your computer.

Smartphones have their own operating system with the option of using the cloud. Photos from Android phones go to Google Photos and from an iPhone to iCloud. Depending on what smartphone you are using will determine which cloud service you will use.

Cloud services are free to use up to a certain amount of storage. Your phone will inform you in advance when your cloud storage has nearly reached the allowed limit. It is a good idea to sort through your photos and delete any duplicates, outdated or photos that are not very good. You can transfer your photos to the hard drive either by using the cloud option on your phone or by using the cable from your phone’s charger. A good way to back up your photos is to print them out and you can enjoy looking back at them time and time again.
