Make Your Own Bath Salts
Would you like to add something to your personalised greeting card? Treat your mum to some relaxation for Mother's Day. How about some homemade bath salts to help her unwind in the bath and take a break from everyday life.
You donât need much to make bath salts:
Watch the video for step-by-step instructions on how to make your own Mother's Day card and bath salts.Â
STEP 1: MEASURE OUT THE BATH SALTS
First, fill your airtight jar with the bath salt so that you know how much salt you will need. Don't fill the jar to the brim but leave some space, as you will need to add the dried flowers a little later on. Then pour the salt into a bowl.

STEP 2: PREPARE THE JAR
The jar will be the container in which you put your bath salts. To make it look decorative, you can tie a bow on the lid, for example. This will make your Mother's Day look really special!

STEP 3: ADD SCENTED OILS
Next, add scented oils to the bath salt in the bowl. Salt is generally odourless, so you can use the oils to give your bath salts that little something extra. Be careful not to use too much scented oil, or the fragrance may become too strong.âŻ
Tip: first add around 5 drops of oil to the salt, then mix it in and then have a quick smell. If your salt mixture doesn't yet smell the way you want it to, simply add more drops of oil until you get the desired result.

STEP 4: ADD IN THE DRIED FLOWERS
To make your bath salts look really pretty, add the dried flowers to the salt and mix them in with a spoon. The flowers will float on the surface of the water while you are bathing and give your bath a special touch.

STEP 5: FILL YOUR BATH SALTS INTO THE JAR
Lastly, you will need to fill your bath salts into your airtight jar. Screw the lid on tightly. Now your bath salts are ready to be given as a gift.
