The Perfect Couple Photoshoot

Couple photoshoot

The key to a successful professional photoshoot is good preparation. This not only guarantees fantastic photos, but also a lot of fun.

The couple Patrick and Mari are having a couple photoshoot. For the photo Patrick puts his arm around Mari, his partner. In the background there is a beautiful calm mountain lake. Mari gazes into the distance at the lake, which reflects the surrounding mountains. They both relax and enjoy this special day. They hardly notice that they are having their photographs taken.

There is a big difference between these types of photos that are taken naturally, in comparison to posed photos taken in a photo studio. ‘Our top priority is always to show people as they really are,’ explains Roland Voraberger from the Linse2 photography team. This is best achieved in a natural and relaxed environment.

However, it is also important to create a familiar atmosphere between those in front of and behind the camera. ‘In the simplest case, you can grab a coffee together before the photoshoot and show that you, as a photographer, are someone who enjoys spending quality time with other people,’ says the professional.

It's important to make sure that the photographer and the people having their photographs taken get on and understand each other. As a result you will get great photos with a relaxed body posture and a natural pose. This was the case with Mari and Patrick. They got used to being in an unfamiliar environment and they were able to enjoy their day out in the mountains. We were then able to take some great photos.

Building Trust

Make sure to organise everything in advance so that your photoshoot is a success. Photoshoots can be expensive and lots of people enjoy looking at photos time and time again, therefore, it is important to make sure you get some amazing shots. A meeting is therefore part of every good photoshoot and builds a sense of trust between the client and the photographer.

You should find a photographer who you can get on with and understands what you want as a client. A stylist will be able to give you tips on what suits you the best and adapt your make-up to the desired mood of the pictures.

Avoid time pressure and plan enough time for your photoshoot. Personal insights and natural shots need time. It’s also a good idea to take regular short breaks. The most important thing to remember is to have fun! By having fun and enjoying your day your pictures will always turn out well.

You can have a look on the camera at some of the shots that have already been taken and choose the style or background you particularly like. After the first couple of photos you will get used to the camera and feel more relaxed.
