How to make a lantern out of a photo poster
When the days are getting shorter and the afternoons darker, it’s the perfect time to go walking with a lantern. But you don’t want a lantern that involves too much cutting out and often uses too much glue but a personalised lantern that can be made in just a few steps? Then this lantern made out of a photo poster is just the right thing for you: you can choose any photo poster you like – personal children’s photos or your child’s favourite heroes can decorate the lanterns. Let your imagination run wild!
And all you need for this is:
- A good quality photo poster in the size 20 x 60 cm with your favourite motif
- A blank lantern for the base and top (alternatively you can also use a cheese box), a tealight holder to stick in it and a wooden lantern pole (available from handicrafts shops)
- Scissors, glue, wire, paper clips
