Advent calendar at the last minute

So much needs to be done before the first day of Advent that some things fall by the wayside. This last-minute Advent calendar will be a special treat for your children – entirely without sweets or a lot of handicraft work. Because this bearded Father Christmas can be shaved each day until he is ready for the celebration. A creative countdown that will surprise even kindergarten children!

Draw the face of a Father Christmas with a long, oval bushy beard – you will find plenty of motifs and illustrations that can be used for this online in image databases or with an image search. Divide Father Christmas’s beard up into 24 narrow strips, containing the numbers 1 to 24. Now get the poster printed at ifolor.ch/en as a photo poster in high quality. The format 20 x 30 centimetres lends itself to making Advent calendars. For several copies, use the practical format 40 x 40 centimetres, with which one can comfortably arrange two Father Christmas’s next to each other on the poster. Simply cut out the Father Christmas with the long beard – and your home-made last-minute Advent calendar is ready. On 1 December you will only need paper scissors and then the shaving fun can start!
